Dollywood Resort is comprised of an amusement park, Dollywood, a water park, Dollywood's Splash Country, a Hotel, Dollywood's Dreammore Resort And Spa, and cabins, Dollywood's Smoky Mountains Cabins.
The Resort is located in Tennessee in the heart of the Smoky Mountains in the tourist town of Pigeon Forge, which concentrates an incredible variety of entertainment such as dinner shows, museums for all tastes, shops, and mini golf courses.
It belongs to Country Music star Dolly Parton and is therefore themed around that theme.
The park is especially renowned for its roller coasters, but it also has a wide selection of rides for the most daring and for the little ones, water attractions, a ride on a real steam train, a village of artisans showing their skills, and restaurants for all palates.
Its flagship attractions are Lightning Rod, a hybrid roller coaster with a wooden structure from American manufacturer Rocky Mountain Construction, ThunderHead, a more classic wooden roller coaster, Wild Eagle, a wing coaster (feet suspended), and Tennessee Tornado, one of the best Loopers and one of the last built by Arrow Dynamics.
The water park offers numerous slides for the whole family, a water coaster, and a wave pool.
